Greetings! The Division of Registered Apprenticeship at the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry is pleased to announce a partnership in knowledge sharing with the Richmond Public Library. The Library has made available its database of short courses through a system called Universal Class. With one of their library cards (either a permanent card or an e-card) one can access the resources online 24/7.

That is a free account for the resource to maintain, for your convenience, your checkouts and/or your progress.

Also available is the Learning Express Library, which offers test prep and training info:

Richmond Public Library is able to extend card holder privileges to residents of the following cities and counties: Richmond, Hopewell, Petersburg, Williamsburg, Charles City, Chesterfield, Dinwiddie, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, King William, New Kent, Powhatan, and Prince George.

Apprentices, staff, citizens please avail yourself of this free, on-line training. In some cases, these shorter courses can fill in as supplemental Related Technical Instruction if it is occupation specific and deemed suitable by DOLI and the Registered Apprenticeship Sponsor.
