The Tidewater Regional Office provides service to businesses and
employees in Hampton Roads and on the Eastern Shore. The region includes
the counties of Accomack, Gloucester, Greensville, Isle of Wight, James
City, Mathews, Northampton, Southampton, Surry, Sussex, and York, and
the cities of Chesapeake, Emporia, Franklin, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk,
Poquoson, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach and Williamsburg.
Driving Directions:
From
Richmond, Hampton, Newport News, etc. via I-64 East
Take I-64 East though the Hampton Road Bridge Tunnel, Stay on I-64 through
Norfolk past the exits to the Norfolk Airport and follow the signs to
Exit #284-B "Newtown Road". This exit is just past the I-264
interchange to Virginia Beach/Norfolk. The exit ramp for 284-B "Newtown
Road" will feed you out onto I-264 heading toward Virginia Beach.
Several lanes merge in from the right at this point, so watch out for
merging traffic. Once you are on I-264, follow the signs to the Newtown
Road Exits as follows:
Take the second Newtown Road Exit - "Exit 15B-Newtown Road North",
this exit will feed you onto Newtown Road heading north towards Virginia
Beach Blvd. As soon as you merge onto Newtown Road and as you pass under
the interstate bridge, move quickly into the far left lane and get into
the "Left Hand Turn Only Lane" at the first traffic light that
you come to, which will be "Center Drive". Turn left onto Center
Drive and follow the road to the fourth building on the left - Building
#6 which is immediately past the State Farm Service Center. Our offices
are located in Building #6 on the left side of the ground floor.
From Portsmouth via I-264 through the downtown tunnel
Stay on I-264 East and follow the signs to Virginia Beach. As you approach
the I-64/I-264 Interchange move to the right exit lane and follow the
signs saying Newtown Road. Stay straight on I-264 to Virginia Beach, being
careful NOT to exit onto either of the I-64 ramps to Chesapeake or Richmond.
The very next set of exits will be to Newtown Road.
Take the second Newtown Road Exit - "Exit 15B-Newtown Road North",
this exit will feed you onto Newtown Road heading north towards Virginia
Beach Blvd. As soon as you merge onto Newtown Road and as you pass under
the interstate bridge, move quickly into the far left lane and get into
