Attention High School Students of Hanover County Public Schools!
Want to earn yourself $1000 and other prizes? The Virginia Department of Labor and Industry (DOLI) in cooperation with Hanover Career Student Resource, Inc. (HCSR) are hosting a video contest for high school students of Hanover County Public Schools. Students are encouraged to create commercial-length videos, between 60 and 90 seconds, about the importance of finding a job and Virginia’s child labor laws. The winning video will be used as the first Public Service Announcement (PSA) for the 2012 statewide Child Labor Blitz and will be utilized by DOLI for future child labor projects.
The Rules are Simple 1) pick up your video camera and create a 60 to 90 second video, 2) talk about the importance of finding a job and Virginia’s child labor laws, and 3) submit the videos to DOLI by Friday, January 27, 2012.
